Autographed Items

In the past, friends of mine racking their minds for what gifts to get me have gotten me autographed items from famous people I like, and it's been pretty nifty. I've gotten an autographed picture of John Woo, an animation cell signed by the 5 principal voice actors on the Simpsons, and more Cal Ripken and other baseball stuff than I can count. I realize this stuff doesn't have much practical value, but it's nifty and rare and creative, so it's something to consider if you're out of ideas. Just figure out who I like (this isn't hard - I have a whole post on Music below, and I like tons of movies, as well as books), and search on eBay. Be careful; some of this stuff can be really expensive, but honestly, the more esoteric, cheaper stuff can be just as nifty.
