Electronic Gadgets

I'm what they call an "early adopter", meaning that getting electronic gadgets for me can be challenging. But I try not to go overboard, so often there are cool but somewhat silly or indulgent items that I won't buy for myself, but still covet. To me, that's a perfect gift - something someone wants, but won't buy for themselves. This list is ever-changing, but here are some ideas:

- The new Kindle is awesome. I already have one, but the new one is smaller and lighter and has a bigger screen and is a lot cheaper (especially the non-3G version). If you've always wanted a Kindle, but don't want to buy yourself one, but me a new one and I'll give you my old one!

- There's a cool wireless phone charging technology called a PowerMat, I think. You can use it for cell phones and other things (cameras?). I have a Samsung Moment - not sure if it's compatible, but worth looking into.

- Speaking of phones, I want a new one, but am not done with my contract for 9 months. I really want a newer, Android-based phone with a sliding keyboard. Only get this for me if you're feeling really extravagant - I totally don't need it and should just be patient.
